My Certifications

ACE (American Council on Exercise) Group Fitness Trainer

For the past 8 years, in addition to training clients one on one, I have held weekly group fitness classes. These fun group sessions involve everything from weight training to step aerobics, and vary from week to week to keep interest high. 

Crossfit L-1

I received my L-1 Crossfit certification in October 2013 and re-certified in 2018. Crossfit has become a true passion for me and something I enjoy challenging myself with. 

Crossfit Weightlifting Certification

I received this specialty certification through Crossfit because I wanted to learn more about Olympic lifting. We do include some Olympic style lifting in our group fitness classes and I am always working to improve my technique and to be able to instruct others in safely performing these lifts. 

AAHF (American Academy of Health and Fitness) SrFit Specialty

I pursued my Senior Fitness specialty certification because of a specific client who inspired me to learn more about the special requirements faced when training the elderly.  I learned a lot that I was able to implement in her training and am proud to say that she improved in strength, balance and endurance during our time training together. It's never too late to improve your health through exercise! 

ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer

It's no secret - fitness training has been proven to prevent disease, strengthen your health and improve your confidence and outlook on life. As a certified fitness trainer, I'm trained in everything from muscle mechanics to flexibility and cardiovascular dynamics. So if you want to live a stronger and more confident life, I've got the training and the expertise to help you every step of the way. 

CrossFit Powerlifting

The Crossfit powerlifting certification focuses on teaching the Conjugate method made famous by Westside Barbell. Powerlifting focuses on the big 3 Lifts: Squats, deadlifts and bench press. Although we do not fully implement Conjugate methods in classes, they are a useful tool when training these important lifts.
